About
Know what it’s worth before you buy or sell
The problem
Buying something second-hand means guessing. You can see what sellers are asking, which tells you what they hope for, not what the thing is worth. So people either overpay quietly or walk away from a good deal because they couldn’t tell.
What we do about it
We gather the market evidence, adjust it for the specific item in front of you, and show you the reasoning rather than just a number. Where the item is cheaper somewhere else, we say so and name where — including when that means sending you to a competitor.
And when we don’t have enough evidence to answer, we say that instead of producing a confident-looking guess. How the numbers are worked out.
How we make money
Right now, we don’t. There are no fees, no commission, and no cut of any deal — buyers and sellers settle directly and we never touch the money.
We’re telling you this because it explains the incentives. Nothing here is tuned to make a deal happen; if the honest answer is “wait” or “buy it on eBay instead”, that is what the page will say. When that changes, this page will change with it, before anything else does.
What we are not
We’re a venue. We don’t inspect items, hold goods, process payments, or act as a party to your transaction — which means we also can’t recover your money if a deal goes wrong. That is exactly why the safety guidance is worth two minutes of your time.
